(I am currently experiencing terrible writer’s block though, so to make this post possible, I had to phone a friend. Like “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” but instead of money and prizes, everyone gets to read. Just as good, right?)
Lately I’ve had to read a bunch of depressing stuff about mental illness and suicidal teenagers, so my joking game is pretty weak. However, I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by a group of Humor Jedi masters, and the LOL’s are strong within them. I turned to my friend Colin for help on this FBF post after we recently had an extremely in-depth and meaningful discussion about my town putting in a new Chick-Fil-A.
Despite their openly anti-gay stance, he still eats there as much as possible because fast food trumps ideology any day. And even though they’re not open on Sunday’s, every day at Chick-Fil-A is the sabbath (according to Colin).
Some have criticized his unfaltering love of the establishment, but there will always be haters and also, YOLO.
So there you have it, folks. My half-assed Funny Blog Friday post, all thanks to my brother from another mother. Shout out to him and the rest of the FBF crew! <3
(Seriously, go read their posts, they actually put work into them.)

I went on a two year hiatus from that place after the whole anti-gay marriage incident. And now I go only occasionally for some waffles fries with polynesian sauce. Each time I am ashamed. Like I’m losing my liberal card.

Haha, I still have never even had it but everyone says it’s the best thing ever. We never even had one in our area until about a few years ago and now they’re popping up everywhere. (Yet I’m too lazy to go and eat there lol.) But it works out because I get to do that easy thing where I’m not actively boycotting something and I don’t have to feel guilty for going there

Oh man talk about feeling conflicted. My son says that Chick-Fil-A has the best chicken nuggets and we LOVE their iced tea. But damn I still feel guilty when I spend a dime of my money there, knowing it may eventually be spent on anti-gay propaganda. It’s hard to know what to do. How do you explain political correctness to a kid you just wants to eat something yummy for lunch?

Ahh true, that’s a tough one. I wonder if he’d want to boycott it too knowing all that? Possibly, he’s like the smartest 7 year old I’ve ever heard of lol

So I’m a ditz without a clue because I have no idea about this whole anti-gay marriage with Chick-Fil-A! Talk about horrible marketing, if you can even consider that. I’ve had Chick-Fil-A once…and yes, it is the balls.

Oh it was a while ago and honestly, I’ve forgotten a lot of the details about it. I’m just lucky because I have no idea what I’m missing out on lol

There’s no Chick-Fil-A where I’m from but I had it once on a road trip. Don’t tell your friend but I hated it.

Lol I definitely won’t tell him then. He’d start yelling at me about how awesome it is, it’s like a major talking point with him haha

Personally I always thought Chick-Fil-A was overrated, that being said the die hards go ape shit if you stay anything negative about them.

Yeah, my friend practically lives there. Chick-fil-A and Taco Bell are his two great loves in life. He once went on a 20 minute rant when someone said they liked Popeye’s better lol

I’m another Chick-Fil-A virgin, and being a Canadian, will sadly probably die so. But there’s probably an upside, because there’s always an upside to being a virgin… right? Right?! Like… unlimited spicy chicken in heaven? Or does my total lack of virginity in other life areas cancel out my Chick-Fil-A virginity? OR… does my Chick-Fil-A virginity put me at risk of being sacrificed, possibly at the next Chick-Fil-A Annual General Meeting?! This is very confusing. Virginity often is.
Also, is Chick-Fil-A starting to not sound like a real thing to you too?

Hahaha that’s definitely a possibility, like your heaven will be all the Chick-Fil-A you could ever eat unless there’s something better up there but I wouldn’t know either as I still have yet to eat it lol. And you’re absolutely right, Chick-Fil-A starts to sound like made up nonsense if you say it enough. I don’t even know what it’s supposed to mean in the first place so now I might have to look it up. Good call, good call. :)

I can’t believe I missed this! My apologies to you!
We’ll just have to try it on our next road trip so that we can be cool people in the know too.
OR
We can make up our own restaurant and say that it’s awesome and then WE’LL be the cool people in the know and because we made it up we can just pretend it’s some super-exclusive underground place. I like this plan.

Yes! LOVE the enthusiasm! What should we call it? Faux? Pho? Cause it sounds super chic but is code for fake?

Is the restaurant specializing in pho because if so, I love the play on words there

Well, I think if we go with that name it has too. For obvious reasons, but also because it will hide our secret pho/faux play on words.
